Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

Participates in module design with focus paid to the production of high quality, portable, maintainable and BMC standards compliant software. Provides design and requirement inputs to product architect in support of goals.

A team member who is passionate about quality and demonstrate creativity and innovation in enhancing the product, with excellent problem solving, debugging, analytical and communication skills.
Should be able to have a command on automation and dev-ops tools.
Design and develop use cases/test cases for developing the key components/modules of the system. The expectation is candidate should able to challenge the product.
Provide inputs and design to refactor the existing test cases to utilize system resource optimally.
Should have ability to write business scenarios, customer issues debugging skills along with strong knowledge of RCA process.
Quickly learn new languages and technologies as required for successfully automating the test cases.
Strong knowledge of container technologies like Docker, OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Working knowledge of dev-ops and build tools like Jenkins, etc…
Build prototypes and use other appropriate techniques to achieve product definition and design goals
Participate in release planning and iteration planning meetings
Automate the test scripts with high quality and ensuring all automated cases are part of continuous regression and running fine with no/minimal maintenance
Work closely with QA, Dev to understand the PSR use cases related to new features, automate the tests, run tests and share results etc.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

10+ Years of hands-on Software Quality Assurance experience in product development
6+ Years of hands-on test cases automation development experience
Must have worked on large scale enterprise products (n-tier architecture)
Implementing automated testing platforms
Hands on Experience with automation/scripting (Selenium/Java)
Experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes.
Diverse experience in testing on different Operating systems flavors Windows/Unix
Contribute to create, maintain, and debug CI/CD pipelines
Experience with GIT, Maven, and Jira

Good to have:

Good knowledge on databases Oracle/Postgre
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Experienced in working with Agile development methodology and working with virtual team.
Knowledge of Rancher and OpenShift is a plus

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,988,600 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
