Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

As Lead Product Manager in the BMC Helix Innovation Suite team, you will have the opportunity of defining and launching next generation platform products and capabilities for the Autonomous Digital Enterprise.

Each day, you will work with customers, partners, engineering teams, operations, other product managers, UX designers, marketers and sales to build and deliver products and capabilities that are part of the BMC Helix platform, which is the basis for BMC’s market-leading BMC Helix Service & Operations Management solutions. You will also be charged with driving adoption of the BMC Helix platform. You love making platform products that delight customers. You understand that great platforms balance simplicity and robust features to address the real-world needs of our large enterprise customer base.

The successful candidate will have a global role based in Pune, India.

Job functions & responsibilities:

·         Accountable for delivering detailed platform requirements for upcoming products based on subject matter expertise and deep understanding of the market and from working closely with customers, partners, and other product stakeholders

·         Understand and analyze customer development and tailoring needs at a deep level to translate market requirements to product development (write user stories, analyze and propose solutions, create mockups in collaboration with our UX team) and articulate the value proposition to downstream functions (marketing, sales, operations)

·         Own your team backlog, triage bugs, prioritize items and answer your teams’ questions. Participate in scrum meetings, sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and demos.

·         Conduct competitive analysis and market assessment to support competitive positioning and establish partnership strategies that capitalize on market trends

·         Communicate product status and roadmap evolution to senior management

·         Build effective relationships with sales, customers, partners, and other product groups

·         Support sales and pre-sales to effectively demonstrate the latest platform capabilities

·         Drive platform adoption through webinars (internal and external) and other enablement activities

·         Present and discuss platform roadmaps to partners and customers

Experience required:

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 

·         5+ years Product Management experience

·         Demonstrated ability to collect user feedback and understand customer pain points

·         Experience with platform-type products

·         Experience with building and launching SaaS solutions

·         Experience documenting user stories, requirements and design

·         Experience working with UX teams designing features

·         Experience in assessing and articulating customer value of new capabilities

·         Excellent communication, presentation skills 

·         Ability to collaborate with and influence cross functional, global teams  

·         Desiree to work in fast paced, dynamic environment

Preferred experience and skills:

·         Experience with visual workflow solutions

·         Experience with AI/ML technologies

·         Experience with IT Service Management domain
