BMC Helix Single Sign On (HSSO) is a state of art authentication system for a multi software environment that enables users to present credentials for authentication only once. After BMC Helix SSO authenticates the end users, the end users are automatically authenticated to other applications protected by BMC Helix SSO and are not required to provide the credentials again. It supports authentication methods like SAML 2.0, LDAP, Kerberos, OAuth 2.0, Open ID Connect and several others. 

We are looking for a Lead Product Developer who will participate in design, development and automation with a focus on production-grade, high quality, portable, maintainable, and security compliant software with highest code quality standards and process. A team member who is passionate about quality and demonstrates creativity and innovation in developing the product. This role would require hands-on development skills, trouble shooting escalations, working with multiple product teams, Project Management and Support.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle 

Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency 

Analyze user requirements to define business objectives, follow development and security best practices.

Develop, test & automate feature code, defect fixes.

Review code developed by team, test strategy to ensure good delivery standards and highest quality.

Identify and help resolve any technical issues / escalations arising for customers so that service availability is maximum.



Skill Requirements:

10+ years of solid Java development experience, and with deep understanding of development frameworks and development processes.

Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts 

Good understanding of SSO (Single Sign On) technology, and concepts. Awareness of Identity standards like SAML, oAuth, Open ID connect. protocols and related flows. 

Hands on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift 

Sound knowledge of at least one of the Database – MSSQL, Postgres, Oracle 

Good understanding of security issues in SaaS and OnPrem software and techniques and processes to mitigate the risks.

Understanding of the concepts of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and RESTful web service 

Excellent communication and teamwork skills 

Degree in Computer Science or relevant field

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a vacation policy and region-specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $140,250 - $233,750
