BMC Assurance is looking to hire an Information Technology (IT) audit professional (“Lead IT Assurance Analyst”) who is enthusiastic about the internal audit field and excited to become part of a dynamic organization that encourages teamwork, continuous professional development, and inventive thinking.

This is a hybrid position wherein the team works remotely on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays through Thursdays. The shift for all days worked typically begins at 12:30 pm and ends at 9:30 pm.
1. Audit Planning: Assist in developing audit programs for IT security, governance, cybersecurity, and system lifecycle audits. Help plan testing for systems and technology supporting key operations.
2. Internal Control Evaluations: Assess IT controls related to financial reporting, ensuring effectiveness and compliance with regulations using frameworks like COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST.
3. Operations Auditing: Review business unit operations (Sales, HR, etc.), document deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
4. Audit Follow-Up: Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations, ensuring timely corrective actions and providing support to management.
5. Reporting: Assist in communicating audit findings and recommendations to management to help mitigate risks and drive improvements.
6. Special Projects: Contribute to IT risk and control efforts in project teams, offering guidance and seeking automation-driven process improvements.
7. CPE and Innovation: Engage in continuous professional education to maintain certifications, improve skills, and stay updated on emerging technologies.
Qualification Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, computer science, accounting, finance, or business administration with a focus on information systems. Postgraduate degrees are a plus.
2. Certifications: Preferred certifications include CISA, CISM, CIA, and CISSP, which are important for career growth.
3. Experience: At least five years of experience in IT auditing, information security, risk management, or related fields. Internships or co-op experiences are a plus.
4. Technical Skills: Understanding of IT concepts, systems, and controls; proficiency in network security, database management, IT governance frameworks, and auditing techniques. Coding experience (SQL, Visual Basic, Python) is highly desired.
5. Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, critical thinking, leadership, and the ability to work independently or in teams are essential for success.
