BMC are seeking a talented Lead Database Admin to join our growing team in Sweden. 

Role Responsibilities:

- DBA focused on day to day production operational tasks, database administration and automation of database services & solutions
- Primarily working with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL database administration
- Secondarily working with Casandra, MongoDB and MySQL
- Support OLTP and OLAP applications
- Provide proactive tuning and capacity optimization of databases supporting BMC Helix products & services
- Drive & support automation and compliance efforts of database solutions & associated technologies
- Work with peer DBAs and other peer teams as a subject matter expert on specified database solutions & associated technologies
- Support BCP & DR activities of database technologies including database backups/recovery
- Work with product teams and make recommendations on SQL & NOSQL engineering
- Take part in 24/7 on-call rotations and shift rotations as required

Experience:

- Expert knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server
- Any experience with PostgreSQL is a plus
- Experience working with physical, virtual, AWS (RDS & Aurora) and AZURE (MI & Hyperscale) database environments
- Experience working with database technology high-availability solutions (SQL Server Logshipping/Mirroring/AlwaysON/Clustering, PostgreSQL Replication/Clustering)
- Experience working with database scripting using T-SQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL
operating systems using Windows and Linux
- Experience working with performance analysis & tuning of database applications or other similar OLTP/OLAP applications
- Adept at working with product teams on database best practices
- Good understanding of Compliance & Governance, Change Control, Security and Security practices
- Experience working with peer DBAs and global teams located across the globe in different time zones
