BMC Software is hiring for Lead PostgreSQL DBA.
Team description:
As a Lead PostgreSQL DBA you will be joining a world-class team of BMC Software and focusing on; day-to-day production operational tasks, database administration, architecture, and automation of database services & solutions.
Roles and responsibilities:
- 8-9+ years of experience in PostgreSQL support work, Postgres versions, 12+, 13, 14.
- You must have exp in backup and restore (pg_dump, physical backup tools), database performance tuning, SQL Query tuning and development, Replication and failover experience.
- You should have experience in User and object permission management Linux command-line operating system, install and configuration experience (Centos/RHEL 7/8 preferred)
- Experience in scripting and task automation (Bash, Python, Git)
- You should experience in Networking related to database (Linux iptables, DNS, load balancers)
Nice to have:
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), including cloud DB technologies (RDS, Aurora)
- Experience with Patroni high availability

Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
