As a Lead  PostgreSQL DBA you will be joining a world-class team of BMC Software and focusing on; day-to-day production operational tasks, database administration, architecture, and automation of database services & solutions.

What we are looking for:

8-9+ years of experience in PostgreSQL support work
Strong backup and restore (pg_dump, physical backup tools) experience
Strong database performance tuning
Strong SQL Query tuning and development experience
Strong troubleshooting skills
Solid experience with Postgres PL/pgSQL
Replication and failover experience
User and object permission management
Postgres versions, 12+, 13, 14
Linux command-line operating system experience (Centos/RHEL 7/8 preferred)
Linux software install and configuration
Scripting and task automation (Bash, Python, Git)
Networking as related to database (Linux iptables, DNS, load balancers)
Solid experience in Oracle DBA will be a significant differentiator.
Experience configuring & implementing Oracle 12c and 19c
5+ or more years of direct experience with Oracle Exadata OS and environment
Work in oracle multitenant
OEM Cloud experience
Oracle Active Data Guard

Nice to have:

·        Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

·        Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), including cloud DB technologies (RDS, Aurora)

·        Experience with Patroni high availability
