BMC is looking for a Technical Writer to join our amazing Control-M team! 

In this role, you will be a part of a team of technical writers, which working closely with Software Developers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and Customer Support to produce high-quality documentation. So, if you are a Technical Writer who has an excellent understanding of the documentation development process, the software development process, and product lifecycles; If you’d like to work on interesting and complex products; If you are a great team player with strong learning abilities – BMC is the place for you! 

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

• Become a product subject matter expert and suggest recommendations to improve technical information based on target audiences. 
• Work with Software Developers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and Customer Support to develop high-quality technical documentation. 
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure single-sourcing and Style Guide requirements. 
• Initiate and recommend creative ways to improve deliverables and processes
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing for software or SaaS products.
  • Strong ability to document APIs, authentication flows, and integration scenarios.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and API testing concepts.
  • Experience documenting cloud-based systems: AWS, GCP, OCI, and Azure.
  • Excellent written English and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation deliverables.
Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills: 
  • 2+ years of experience documenting Control-M or similar orchestration platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Postman for understanding API workflows.
  • Basic knowledge of OAuth2 and IDP concepts.
  • Experience documenting SOAP-based integrations.
  • Exposure to SaaS data platforms and orchestration solutions.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 1,725,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
