 Join us as a Director of Strategic Project Management!

As the Director of Strategic Project Management, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the strategic initiatives driving BMC's growth. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of strategic projects within the revenue marketing disciplines, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals. Your leadership will ensure projects align with our company's strategic vision and are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement project management strategies that align with the company's business objectives and revenue goals. Lead the strategic planning process for marketing projects, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timing.
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards, deadlines, and budget requirements. Utilize project management methodologies to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Team Management and Development: Lead, coach, and mentor the project management team. Foster a collaborative team environment and support the professional development of team members.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between the revenue marketing team and other departments, including Sales, Product, Customer Success, and IT, to ensure project alignment with broader company objectives.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor project performance metrics to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of project management practices. Report on project outcomes and learnings to the VP of Revenue Marketing and other stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and success.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders, including senior leadership, project teams, and external partners. Ensure visibility into project progress, challenges, and successes.
To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing & project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within an enterprise B2B SaaS environment.
  • You have a proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced technology-driven environment.
  • You possess a strong understanding of revenue marketing strategies and how they drive business growth.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification required.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $163,050 - $271,750
