As the Director of Social Media, you will drive our overall global BMC social media strategy, which includes leading our social team, content creation, and metrics and reporting, and working cross functionally to ensure alignment and consistent messaging to drive engagement with our audience via social channels. You will have the opportunity to work closely with your peers in global field marketing, product marketing, demand generation, PR, AR executive communications, brand, creative and more to help develop unified campaigns. Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
  • Lead and manage the overall global social media strategy, development, metrics and reporting, and governance.
  • Oversee strategy and management of social newsroom and campaigns and ensure brand consistency on all social media platforms.
  • Create, curate, and manage highly engaging post copy, with impactful images, to support company campaigns and programs.
  • Lead and manage the social media team.
  • Be the “go to” social media expert for internal teams with social media questions or requests, offering best practices for all platforms and galvanizing internal activation and external engagement.

To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications and 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least five years focusing on social media strategy development.
  • You have excellent writing skills and a solid understanding of content strategy.
  • You are familiar with social media management tools such as Sprout Social, Sprout Advocacy, etc.
  • You are a self-motivated, flexible, and highly organized individual who can manage 
  • multiple complex projects at once.
