Thanks to our ongoing expansion we have the opportunity for the right leader to come into the Governance and PMO Organization. The Director, R&D Project Management addresses complex organizational challenges through innovative R&D Project Management strategies overseeing multiple teams and initiatives to align R&D Project Management practices with business objectives, and will typically perform the following duties:
- Understand and implement the BMC Corporate Strategy, communicate and translate into team goals or goals for a major part of the organization. Contribute to and may lead one or more VSEM initiatives.
- Align departmental goals with organizational strategy, ensuring optimal resource allocation and prioritization of initiatives for maximum impact
- Entrust heads of operations teams with the autonomy to design, implement, and refine strategies and practices across departments, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Oversee the resolution of high-impact impediments across several departments, implementing strategies to mitigate systemic issues affecting R&D, InfoSec and Operations Project Management workflows and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Track and enable the successful execution of key cyber-security, compliance and lifecycle management processes.
- Plan workforce requirements and collaborate with recruitment to attract top industry talent.
- Implement development programs and career pathways that align with individual aspirations and organizational goals to engage and inspire people, reducing turnover and enhancing job satisfaction.
- Design and implement organizational talent development strategies, including leadership programs, to systematically prepare high-potential individuals for senior roles.
- Engage with key stakeholders to align Project Management efforts with business strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Overall 10+ years of relevant experience with Project and Program Management practices, technologies, and industry standards to deliver strong project and operational governance.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in operations project management, customer-first approach, and focus on customer satisfaction and passion for ensuring customer success.
- Experience in Public Cloud like AWS, GCP, OCI with a focus on service delivery.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical collaborators.
- Demonstrated skill in managing complex projects and possessing the requisite skills in conflict resolution, prioritization and communications
- Experience of common tools such as Jira, MS Project, BMC ITSM/Remedy, Salesforce, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in having a service delivery mindset, customer-first approach, and focus on customer satisfaction and passion for ensuring customer success.
- Flexible in adapting to different working styles and 24x7 support based on business need.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $163,050 - $271,750
