We are currently hiring a Director of Operations for our Intelligent Z Optimization & Transformation (IZOT) organization.

As the Director of Operations, you will report to the leader of Product Operations and be responsible for leading operational activities and strategic initiatives within the Intelligent Z Optimization & 
Transformation (IZOT) organization and mainframe software business, serving as the “chief of staff” to 
the GM & SVP of the business unit. The individual contributor in this created role will bring their 
experience managing operations to one of the most exciting times at BMC’s forty-year company history. 

Responsibilities:
• Deliver Operational Excellence – Lead IZOT organization operational cadence including 
strategic planning, zero-based budgeting, BMC executive leadership/Board updates, and 
metrics and operational reporting.
• Drive Strategic Transformation – Support key IZOT Transformation projects: provide 
program management support to ensure strategic alignment, key stakeholder engagement, 
and successful execution.
• Accelerate BMC Productivity – Identify, prioritize, and lead opportunities associated with
IZOT’s objectives and outcomes. Manage IZOT’s team roadmap process to ensure successful 
delivery of organizational objectives under agreed timelines.
• Establish close working relationships with BMC executives, colleagues, customers, and 
partners. Leads through influence.

Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional experience and will have a successful track record of managing business operations within the software industry.
• BA/BS degree in business, science, engineering or similar discipline preferred; MBA, MA, or 
other graduate degree a plus
• Strong operational background with an understanding of financial analysis. 
• Experience with modern software development and delivery is preferred (e.g. agile software 
development, microservices architecture, container management, AI/ML, server-less 
computing, edge computing).
• Experience leading global cross-functional teams and knowledge of inter-dependencies 
across teams. Proven track record of driving change and leading change management.
• Experience in strategy or management consulting.
