Challenge yourself as a part of a dynamic, fast paced finance team and join BMC Software! We are currently hiring a Director of Finance to support one of our largest business units.

This exciting role is part of a very collaborative group, where people are willing to step out of their roles to help others. The finance team at BMC serve as trusted finance advisors to the business group and have responsibility for long range and fiscal planning, forecasting, pricing, business case development, financial modeling and insightful analytics. 

What you get to do everyday:
•You will manage the team supporting DSOM (Digital Service and Operations Management) business unit. With customer centricity being a core BMC strategic initiative, in this position you will be involved with the business to develop long range business and financial plans, along with the annual budgets, monthly forecasts and quarter ends deliverables. 
•Partner with the GM leading DSOM and be an unbiased voice to the executive team aiming to improve financial and business outcomes
•Create usable budgets for the business including but not limited to preparing complex models 
•Lead a zero-based expense budget to a multimillion-dollar expense org with over 1000 employees
•Simplify and communicate complex financial information to business partners including adapting nomenclature familiar to R&D
•Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investments and spending decisions
•You will advise finance and business leaders regarding performance and outlook of the business
•You get to develop presentations for key executives, develop business narratives, and represent the business in a financial context

Required Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree required, Finance or Accounting concentration preferred, with a minimum of 6 years of experience and a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
•MBA a plus
•Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
•Deep understanding and demonstrated experience in enterprise SaaS business financial management and related KPIs
•Understanding of business intelligence and financial planning software tools
•Understanding of core finance business processes to ensure timely delivery of financial results including Quarterly Business Reviews, close processes, SOX controls, and Audit
