Challenge yourself as a part of a dynamic, fast paced finance team and join BMC Software! We are currently hiring a Director of Finance to support one of our fasting growing business units! 

This exciting role is part of a very collaborative group, where people are willing to step out of their roles to help others. The finance team at BMC serve as trusted finance advisors to the business group and have responsibility for budget, expense, and forecasting. 

What you get to do everyday:
• You will manage the team supporting the DBA (Database Automation) BU (Business Unit) organization. With customer centricity being a core BMC strategic initiative, in this position you will be involved with the business to develop long range business and financial plans, along with the annual budgets, monthly forecasts and quarter ends deliverables. 
•Partner with the GM leading the DBA BU and be an unbiased voice to the executive team aiming to improve financial and business outcomes
•Create usable budgets for the business including but not limited to preparing complex models 
•Lead a zero-based expense budget to a multimillion-dollar expense org with over 300 employees
•Simplify and communicate complex financial information to business partners including adapting nomenclature familiar to R&D 
•Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investments and spending decisions
•You will advise finance and business leaders regarding performance and outlook of the business
•You get to develop presentations for key executives, updating business narrative, and representing the business in a financial context

Required Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree required, Finance or Accounting concentration preferred, with a minimum of 6 years of experience
•MBA a plus
•Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
•Understanding of business intelligence and financial planning software
•Understanding of core finance business processes to ensure timely delivery of financial results including Quarterly Business Reviews, close process, SOX controls, and Audit
