We are seeking an experienced and strategic Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Director of Field Marketing to lead our regional marketing team. BMC is driving growth by transitioning our business model from perpetual license software to subscription and software as a service (SaaS). In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team in developing and executing marketing strategies which will support the achievement of pipeline and progression goals across the region. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-performing customer-centric mindset team, build relationships with key stakeholders, and drive marketing initiatives that have a meaningful impact on our business.
Key Responsibilities
• Experience leading a talented team of ABM, channel, industry, and integrated demand marketers.
• Development of annual/quarterly go-to-market plans with a focus on field activities and programmes in a SaaS business to support pipeline and new logo growth.
• Partner closely with key stakeholders, including sales leadership to ensure plan is aligned with the overall APJ strategy and objectives.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional marketing team, to deliver and measure engaging content and thought leadership to drive pipeline target achievement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, well organised and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• In-depth understanding of the marketing funnel and drive and control lead management.
• Support and manage the partner network regarding all marketing related activities.
• Analysing market trends and customer insights to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
• Manage and control the marketing budget.
To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
• Demonstrable experience in demand generation marketing for an enterprise technology company in the APJ region, including developing and executing campaigns that drive revenue growth, in an enterprise Software/Cloud/SaaS company at the regional level.
• Strong understanding of the sales funnel and how to measure and optimize demand generation efforts to increase conversions and drive new logo growth.
• Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to track and measure the impact of demand generation efforts.
• Strong leadership, strategy, and execution skills with success in disruptive technology markets, large and start-up companies/divisions.
• Strong understanding and multi-year marketing experience in the assigned regions.
• Keen understanding of the enterprise software sales cycle with an audience mix of C-level IT and senior line of business buyers.
• Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• High integrity.
• Effective time management and conflict resolutions skills.
• 30% travel required.
