BMC’s SaaS Ops team is looking for an Experienced DevOps Engineer to join us and design, develop, and implement complex applications, using the latest technologies. 

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Develop and manage automation playbooks using Ansible
  • Work on container orchestration and deployment using Kubernetes
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Automate deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve release processes and system reliability
  • Work with AWS/Azure cloud environments for deployment and infrastructure management
  • Manage source code repositories using Git and track activities through JIRA
  • Ensure high availability, performance, monitoring, and security of applications and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot build, deployment, and infrastructure-related issues
  • Follow DevOps and SRE best practices to improve operational efficiency
  • Contribute innovative ideas for process improvements and automation

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps/SRE roles
  • At least 4 years of strong hands-on experience in Jenkins and Ansible scripting
  • Strong experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines with industry best practices
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Git repositories and JIRA tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for quality, automation, and continuous improvement
Good to Have Skills
  • Knowledge of SRE practices
  • Experience with GitHub, Spinnaker, Maven, Jenkins, and JIRA
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or Go
  • Understanding of Microservices, APIs, and Database implementations
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Jaeger, Grafana, AppDynamics, DataDog, or Nagios
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,790,000 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
