BMC’s SaaS Ops team is looking for a DevOps Tech Lead to join us and design, develop, and implement complex applications, using the latest technologies.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

• Participate in all aspects of SaaS product development, from requirements analysis to product release and sustaining
• Drive the adoption of the DevOps process and tools across the organization.
• Learn and implement cutting-edge technologies and tools to build best of class enterprise SaaS solutions
• Deliver high-quality enterprise SaaS offerings on schedule
• Develop Continuous Delivery Pipeline
• Initiate projects and ideas to improve the team’s results
• On-board and mentor new employees
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: 
  • Strong alignment with and commitment to BMC’s values, demonstrated in day-to-day work.
  • 4–7 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
  • Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines following best practices.
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and/or OCI.
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or Go
  • Experience working with Git repositories and Jira.
  • Passion for quality, with creativity and innovation in enhancing products and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • This position is part of Helix SRE team. This can include weekend work during scheduled production activities and after-hours work as needed.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with SRE practices
  • Familiarity with GitHub, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Maven, and Jira
  • Experience building automation playbooks using Ansible
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation
  • Knowledge of microservices architectures, databases, and API implementations
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus,  Grafana, AppDynamics, Datadog etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
