Description and Requirements

Develops and delivers detailed technology solutions through consulting project activities at customer sites. Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment. Combines internal company products with third party products to fulfill a client's system needs. Leads or participates in small teams at client sites to deliver required outcomes and garner new business for the company. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Uses full understanding of discipline to resolve complex issues in creative and efficient ways. Applies judgement in evaluating and proposing recommendations to resolve issues that often require deep analysis and interpretation of data. Participates in, and may lead, cross-functional and department teams. Plans and executes tasks with very little supervision. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR advanced degree with 6 years of experience required.

Position Overview - This position will provide technical post-implementation/go-live services for enterprise software solutions throughout for BMC’s worldwide customers. The Application Managed Services Consultant will provide consultative operational services on BMC ITSM. The Consultant must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment since they will be working on incidents, problems, releases, patching, upgrades, integrations simultaneously.

  • Provide operational support on ITSM Remedy, SmartIT/MyIT, Smart reporting, Service broker, DWPA, CMDB, Asset Management, as per agreed SLAs.
  • Experience in Administration, Operations, Customizations, Integrations, Performance tuning, Patch implementation, Upgrades and development of ITSM remedy
  • Follow the ITIL standard best processes.




  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree.
  • 6-12 years’ IT experience
  • Should have worked in Applications Managed Services and Consulting Services environment
  • Experience on UNIX operating system and ITIL framework is an advantage.
  • Excellent in troubleshooting ITSM applications, integrations, customizations.
  • Well organized with a positive attitude, and ability to work and communicate with Customers, Vendors, and other internal groups as required.
  • Should be customer facing.
  • Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Willing to work in US/rotational shifts, weekend and ready to be on-call to support priority issues
