Collection Specialist Primary Responsibilities:
  • Review invoices in the collection queue each day 
  • Monitor invoices, according to the payment terms 
  • Send new invoices to customers; invoices are either emailed or uploaded into customer portal sites 
  • Update collection notes in Oracle a regular basis with complete customer contact details and projected receipt date (estimated payment date) 
  • Contact customer for payment follow ups, carefully monitoring invoices coming due and collecting past due invoices 
  • Escalate disputed and/or past due invoices according to the BMC Escalation Matrix Timeline
  • Send remittance details to Cash Applications team for payment application 
  • Focus on reducing and/or clearing unapplied cash items for assigned customer accounts 
  • Research disputed items and pull any necessary order documents in the process 
  • Respond to internal inquiries, asking about customer payment status 
  • Update customer status reports as needed, for management  
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor Degree in related field and / or work experience in collections environment preferably for a multination company
  • A high level of persistence and accountability 
  • The ability to work independently while  being able collaborate with a global team. 
  • A keen attention to detail

Position Details:
  • Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina (Work from home)
  • 6 month temporary position with potential to be extended longer
  • Spoken and written fluency in English & Spanish (Portuguese a major plus)
