BMC’s SaaS Ops team is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us and design, develop, and implement complex applications, using the latest technologies.

This position requires working on SaaS Upgrades/Migrations and will require working very closely with:

BMC Helix Cloud Ops Teams
BMC Helix Support Teams
BMC Helix Infrastructure Teams - - Database, Networking, Security and Platform.
BMC Professional Services & third-party Consulting teams
BMC Helix Customers

Candidate should be a Qualified (L1/L2 Level) Remedy Developer & Subject Matter Expert with following skill set:

Responsible for working on customer upgrades and Migrations of Helix applications.
Coordinate with customers to gather requirements before starting any Upgrade/Migration
Troubleshooting & fixing all Issues identified during implementation.
Coordinate with Product Teams to get the quick resolution of issues.
Participate in Internal Team Review meetings.
Responsible for automating the execution runbooks.
Coordinate with R&D teams for new product releases and new versions for internal POCs.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

Good troubleshooting skills and knowledge of BMC Helix products including ITSM, Digital Workplace, Helix Platform will be an add-on.
Exposure and fundamental knowledge of container deployments, persistent storage, PODs, ingress, routes and Kubernetes objects is preferable.
Good exposure to working on Windows and Linux Operation System platforms.
Exposure to working with different database technologies like MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
Ability to work with time-bound Deadlines.
Hard Working, dedicated & effective communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience.
Should have a minimum of 2/3 yrs of work experience.
Exposure of Remedy Upgrade/Migration Activities is preferable.
Exposure to ARS Development using ARS Forms & ARS objects - Active Links, Filters, Escalation, Active Link Guide, Filter Guides, Menus, Web Services, Applications.
Exposure of Remedy Integrations using latest version of Remedy APIs and ARS workflow (AR 7.6.04, AR 8.x and AR 9.x) e.g. Integration with SRM, Incident, Change, Work Order and CMDB Module.
Working Knowledge of SRM, ITSM, CMDB & Remedy Architect. ITIL v3 certification is preferable.
Strong Problem-solving ability.
Exposure to DevOps technologies and Processes highly preferred.
This position is part of SaaS DevOps Upgrade team. This can include weekends during scheduled production activities.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 1,167,000 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
