We are actively looking to grow the Control-M Solutions Marketing team. The team operates in a fast-paced environment that requires self-directed, detail-oriented, motivated, flexible, deadline-driven, and collaborative individuals. In this role, you would interface daily with multiple teams internal and external to BMC including demand generation, creative services, events, finance, internal and external writers, and other solutions marketing teams evaluating and executing asset development in support of the Control-M business initiatives. 

Responsibilities
Primary points of responsibility include, but will not be limited to:
  • Writing, editing, and reviewing marketing related content including web copy, whitepapers, demand generation email, social posts to ensure quality and alignment with branding
  • Develop a deep understanding of our markets, buyer personas, and products to become an active contributor to messaging and positioning for solutions and market category 
  • Support, coordinate, and track business unit Sales Play marketing program activities ensuring alignment between solutions marketing, demand marketing and other internal and external vendors to meet the integrated market plan execution targets and schedules
  • Supporting execution of field marketing activities including third party and BMC led events 
  • Working closely with all sales play leads, sales and customer connect teams to drive customer reference activities including managing story & video editing and reviews
  • Lead and coordinate solution launch activities and manage cross-functional team activities to ensure launch programs are delivered on-time and to program objective metrics targets
  • Support the development of annual and quarterly marketing plans, process improvement and related projects as they are defined and assigned
Experience Required
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a marketing, product marketing, or product management role, preferably with a technical or software company
  • Writing and editing for marketing, web, and social assets
  • Experience developing positioning and messaging for B2B IT solutions for both economic buyers and technical buyers/influencers
  • Demonstrated project and process management capabilities
  • Experience collaborating with multiple teams to drive timely project completion
  • Self-starter, high-energy, with ability to execute on business objectives
Required Skills: 
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills, with effective presentation and interpersonal skills – marketing-related writing samples will be requested
  • Must exhibit professional maturity, good judgment, and remain cool under pressure
  • Project and process management skills
  • Ability to think creatively and communicate ideas to drive continued excellence for the team
  • Operate as part of a team and work effectively with a diverse group of people
  • Must be capable of working effectively from a remote/home office and while traveling
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Must be an analytical and critical thinker, willing to take calculated risks, act independently when required, and have a high degree of personal initiative
  • Comfortable with technology and learning to use new applications and programs
