BMC software is looking for a Mainframe professional with a “Can do” approach who will be working on creating, enhancing, and supporting tools and methodologies needed to enable prospective customers to easily migrate to BMC AMI products. The successful candidate will have both technical & communication skills to enable successful engagement/ interaction with BMC personnel in the field as well as customers to quickly solve problems that may be encountered in migration and validation tools.


Roles and responsibilities:

  • Enhancing, Developing and maintaining existing BMC AMI migration tools
  • Designing and involved with the development of new BMC AMI migration tools
  • Working closely with R&D management / Product management to provide the best support and value to our customers (internal and external) 
  • Identify gaps, designing and implementing tools and capabilities. 



Must have requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar field
  • Some commercial experience developing mainframe solutions
  • Willing to work with remote/ distributed multicultural teams.
  • Willing to be involved with the research, design and solution execution in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A passion for the mainframe and willing to learn new technologies 


Nice to have requirements

  • Experience in High Level Assembler (HLASM) for z/OS 
  • Experience with z/OS MVS Job Control Language (JCL) 
  • Familiarity with IBM /Broadcom solutions such as: (Advantage)
    • OPS/MVS
    • Sysview
    • Omegamon
    • System automation z/Os
    • CA Solve
    • CA Storage / Vantage  
  • System Modification Program/Extended experience (SMP/E)
  • z/OS TSO/E REXX language 
  • z/OS TSO/E CLIST language 
  • Interactive Problem Control System (IPCS) 
  • z/XDC  
  • ISPW
