BMC is looking for a talented Associate Product Developer to work on our modern z/OS products. We develop products that enable DevOps on the z/OS platform. As a member of the product development team at BMC you are responsible for developing software and participating in all the associated development efforts to produce high quality, high performing and fault tolerant software.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
· Contribute to be a member of the Development team responsible for developing and debugging of software products.
· Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of several factors e.g. z/OS, CPU Optimization, storage, databases and cyber security solutions.
· Work across product lines with interaction of other BMC products
· Design, develop and implement features that address customer needs with a sense of ownership within given timelines
· As every BMC employee, you will be given the opportunity to learn, be included in global projects, challenge yourself and be the innovator when it comes to solving everyday problems.
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
· You have ‘Advanced’ badge certification for IBM zXplore.
· You have completed B.E./BTech degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/ Electronics Engineering on or after 2022.
· You have a good understanding of the IBM z/OS based enterprise systems.
· You have the ability to explain complicated concepts clearly to management.
· You have strong presentation skills.
· You possess strong diagnostics, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
· You are motivated, think and work independently as well as within a team, and have strong communication skills.
· You have excellent documentation skills for developed applications and features.
· You have experience with Agile methodology, use of Jira product is beneficial
Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop the following skills:
· ‘All Star’ IBM zXplore certification
· Experience in designing and implementing mainframe applications in an IBM z/OS environment.
· Experience with Agile methodology, use of Jira product is beneficial.
· Dump analysis.
· Development using Angular, Java, JavaScript, Python,
· AI/ML
