As a Platform System Administrator within our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in enabling our operations management solutions to run BMC IT operations effectively and efficiently. By leveraging BMC's innovative products, we proudly identify ourselves as CustomerZero, which opens doors to collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and Sales teams. Our mission is to provide end-to-end solution enablement, spanning implementation, configuration, administration, support, and management. We are currently expanding AIOps use cases to optimize BMC IT operations.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

·       Administering BMC Helix Operations Management, BMC Helix Service Monitoring/AIOps, BMC Helix Log Analytics, BMC Helix Dashboard, BMC TrueSight Operations Management, BMC TrueSight AppVisibility and Entuity.

·       Configuration of BMC Patrol Agents, Knowledge Modules, Monitor policies, Alarm Policies, Event Policies, Enrichment rules, Grafana Dashboards, Reports

·       Configuration of Synthetic scripts for applications using Silk Performer, Selenium, Python

·       Configuring and deploying solutions for comprehensive infrastructure and application monitoring, with a focus on reducing business downtime and overall impact through the implementation of innovative and AIOPs-driven solutions.

·       Seamlessly integrating our solutions with other BMC products and third-party tools for seamless operations.

·       Creating customized solutions using scripts and other innovative approaches

·       Collaborating closely with R&D and Product Management teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of technological advancements.

·       Displaying real-time use cases and successful implementations to external customers during customer briefings as part of CustomerZero initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Minimum 1-3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations, Basic knowledge, and experience with BMC Products such as BMC TrueSight Operations Management, BMC ProactiveNet Performance Manager, BMC PATROL, BMC TMART, BMC TrueSight Appvisibility Manager, BMC TrueSight IT Data Analytics.
• Basic knowledge and experience of working with networking fundamentals and servers.
• Experience working with other infrastructure monitoring or application monitoring solutions apart from BMC is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with global teams.
• Engineering graduate in Computer Science or a relevant field.
• Familiarity with ITIL Framework and experience with Change and Incident Management tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, displaying self-initiative in day-to-day work activities.
• Adaptive learner, adapting swiftly to modern technologies and tools.
• Analytical mindset with the capability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

DESIRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) SKILLS:

• Proficiency in using Regex for advanced data pattern matching and manipulation, providing an advantage in data processing and analysis.
• Familiarity with Grafana and PromQL (Prometheus Query Language) for creating dashboards and querying metrics, offering valuable insights into system performance.
• Knowledge of any Log Analytics tools, enabling efficient log analysis and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Selenium, Silk Performer providing versatility in automating tasks and implementing custom solutions.
