Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commissions Analyst to join our Global Field Compensation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for calculating, processing, and analyzing commission payments for the sales team and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of commission-related data. The Commissions Analyst will work closely with Sales, Finance, IT and HR departments to maintain clear communication and support the overall compensation structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission Calculation: Accurately calculate sales commissions for both individual and team-based compensation plans based on defined targets, quotas, and commission structures.
- Data Reconciliation: Ensure accurate and consistent reconciliation of commission-related data from various sales systems, CRM, and ERP systems.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed commission reports, track progress toward goals, and provide analysis to management regarding commission trends and discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving commission tracking processes and workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Dispute Resolution: Respond to and resolve any commission-related inquiries or disputes from the sales team, ensuring clear documentation and resolution.
- Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, IT and Sales teams to ensure alignment on commission structures and timely resolution of issues.
- Compliance: Ensure commissions are calculated in compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and any contractual agreements.
- System Maintenance: Update and maintain commission-related data in the company’s CRM or sales software.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in commissions analysis, sales operations, or a similar finance-related role.
- Strong understanding of commission structures and incentive-based compensation models.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Experience with commission tracking software or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Xactly, NetSuite).
- Expertise in Compensation Management tools, including Callidus and Forma.AI
- Reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in a global company (internal customers & team spread across time zones / cultures.
- Strong communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
