The Role

The people within the ISD (Inside Sales Department) at BMC Software are responsible for driving quality opportunities into the pipeline that result in incremental revenue across all supported segments and product lines. It's a critical role for the success of the larger sales organization and a great place to start a career in software sales. 

  • A BDR (Business Development Representative) at BMC Software is responsible for the generation and assignment of high-quality opportunities to the Field Sales Organization.
  • A disciplined, programmatic approach to campaign-based pipeline generation and Marketing Sales Ready Lead (SRL) qualification.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales Teams on territory and account-based sales plans - a joint plan for success.
  • Develop new opportunities and activities at high levels with set territory/vertical.
  • Prospecting at C-level, VP and Director Levels.
  • Continuously develop sales and technology skills by leveraging ISD strategic enablement curriculum.
The Experience You’ll Bring
  • Proven track record of accomplishments and over-achievement of goals
  • University degree or relevant experience
  • Outbound sales experience in a corporate environment preferred
  • Highly competitive streak, while still being a strong team player
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ambitious and driven to succeed in sales
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office; experience desirable
