About the Role – Account Manager (South India)
Join us as an Account Manager - India you will own a territory where you will be positioning BMC helix's Iconic and cutting-edge technologies into some of the most prestigious customers. You will be responsible for driving BMC Helix’s growth across large enterprises in South India, including Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, IT/ITeS, Global Capability Centers (GCCs), BFSI, and large diversified enterprises.
You will own strategic enterprise accounts, manage complex buying groups, and drive large, multi-year software deals by positioning BMC Helix as a trusted transformation partner for CIO, CTO, CISO, and Digital leaders.
This role requires strong enterprise sales experience, deep understanding of IT operations and digital transformation priorities, and the ability to manage long, consultative sales cycles in large, matrixed organizations.
Territory & Account Ownership
- Own end-to-end responsibility for assigned enterprise accounts across South India, including account strategy, pipeline creation, forecasting, and revenue delivery.
- Develop annual territory plans and detailed account plans for large enterprises—mapping stakeholders, identifying strategic initiatives, understanding IT and business priorities, and defining growth plans.
- Drive deeper penetration within accounts by expanding BMC Helix adoption across ITSM, ITOM, AIOps, Automation, Observability, and Security Operations portfolios.
Enterprise Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for strategic enterprise customers, working closely with Solution Engineering, Value Engineering, Customer Success, Renewals, Legal, and Product teams.
- Build strong multi-level relationships across CXO, IT leadership, operations, security, and procurement teams.
- Lead executive conversations focused on business outcomes, ROI, resilience, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.
- Position BMC Helix as a long-term strategic partner rather than a point solution vendor.
Solution Positioning & Value Selling
- Deliver high-impact product presentations, executive briefings, and whiteboarding sessions tailored to enterprise use cases.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value propositions aligned to enterprise priorities.
- Support customers through evaluation, proof-of-value, and decision-making processes.
- Partner with Value Engineering to build compelling business cases and ROI models.
Deal Strategy & Execution
- Build and maintain a robust enterprise pipeline using structured qualification frameworks such as MEDDIC / MEDDPICC.
- Own deal strategy from discovery through closure, including pricing, commercial structuring, negotiations, and approvals.
- Navigate complex enterprise procurement processes, legal reviews, and multi-stakeholder approvals.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, CRM hygiene, and disciplined pipeline management.
Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration
- Work closely with system integrators, global consulting firms, and regional partners to drive joint enterprise opportunities.
- Influence partner-led deals by ensuring strong positioning, competitive differentiation, and execution discipline.
- Collaborate with marketing on enterprise events, CXO roundtables, and demand-generation initiatives in the region.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing insights to Product Management, Leadership, and Global Teams.
- Collaborate with global BMC Helix teams to leverage best practices, customer success stories, and product roadmaps.
Experience & Background
- 10–12+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, managing large, complex accounts in South India.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets in large enterprise environments.
- Experience selling enterprise platforms such as ITSM, ITOM, AIOps, Automation, Cloud, Observability, or Infrastructure Management.
Enterprise Sales Expertise
- Strong understanding of enterprise buying processes, long sales cycles, and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
- Experience engaging with CIO, CTO, CISO, Head of IT Operations, and Digital Transformation leaders.
- Ability to manage large deal values, multi-year contracts, and strategic renewals.
Sales Execution & Discipline
- Expertise in account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, and QBRs.
- Proficiency with SFDC or equivalent CRM tools.
- Strong negotiation, pricing, and commercial structuring skills.
Relationship & Influence
- Established relationships within large enterprises across Manufacturing, Pharma, IT/ITeS, GCCs, and BFSI in South India.
- Ability to influence technical, operational, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills with partners, internal teams, and leadership.
