We are seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented Global Sales Operations AVP to lead the design and execution of our Go-to-Market (GTM) Sales Compensation strategy, that drives growth and aligns with key financial metrics to optimize performance. 

This role combines operational excellence, financial expertise, and strategic collaboration to enhance growth across our global sales teams. As a key driver in our transformation journey, you’ll design impactful solutions and enable the success of our sales organization worldwide. 


Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

  • Strategy and Metrics-Driven Planning
    • Develop and execute a GTM compensation strategy aligned with BMC’s SaaS transformation and growth objectives.
    • Leverage key financial metrics like ACV (Annual Contract Value), TCV (Total Contract Value), and ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) to drive performance and identify growth opportunities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Finance, HR, and Product—to align strategies, define priorities, and capitalize on market opportunities
  • Compensation and Behavioral Enablement
    • Design and plan scalable, competitive sales commission plans that reward behaviors driving SaaS and subscription revenue growth.
    • Ensure plans are crafted to drive the right behaviors within the sales community, focusing on sustainable growth and profitability.
    • Partner with sales leaders to enable them with the tools and insights needed for successful execution of compensation strategies.
  • Team Leadership and Process Optimization
    • Manage and mentor a team of professionals responsible for designing, administering, and analyzing sales commission plans.
    • Oversee and improve commission technology and tools to enhance accuracy, scalability, and usability.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations, boost efficiency, and enhance collaboration.
 
To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are highly valued.
  • Proven experience in sales operations or finance within a global SaaS or software organization.
  • Expertise in SaaS metrics, including ACV, TCV, and ARR, with a strong understanding of subscription-based revenue models.
  • A track record of developing and executing sales compensation plans that align with GTM strategic goals and drive measurable results.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and incentive management platforms.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
