- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive customer innovation and technical marketing strategies that align with BMC’s business goals. Drive measurable impacts on customer engagement, satisfaction, and operational efficiency while enhancing product visibility and positioning in the marketplace.
- Product Positioning: Collaborate with product management and development teams to define product positioning, messaging, and unique selling propositions. Leverage market insights and direct customer feedback to guide development and refine the value proposition.
- Content Development: Oversee the creation of high-quality technical content, including whitepapers, case studies, webinars, product demos, and marketing collateral that effectively communicates complex technical concepts to various audiences.
- Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with the necessary tools, training, and resources to effectively present our products and address customer needs.
- Customer Innovation: Identify customer challenges and lead the development of innovative solutions that meet both business and technical needs. Work with top Helix customers to adopt solutions including AIOps, HelixGPT, and Enterprise Service Management, providing feedback on product innovations.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer pain points, informing product development and marketing strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive alignment across product management, sales, customer success, and engineering teams globally. Ensure that customer feedback informs product enhancements and technical messaging, creating a cohesive strategy across all initiatives.
- Customer Engagement: Foster key customer relationships and enhance brand awareness by building and maintaining open feedback channels. Establish BMC as a thought leader by engaging with industry influencers and partners.
- Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly to optimize performance, leveraging proven methods to achieve measurable operational and customer outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in IT service management, customer innovation, and strategic planning within the software or IT industry, with a proven track record of success over 10+ years.
- Extensive experience creating and implementing customer-focused strategies that drive engagement and deliver measurable business results.
- Strong technical understanding of software products, IT infrastructure, and cloud technologies, with deep insights into the business impact of ITSM / ITOM solutions.
- Experience managing cross-functional and global teams, driving alignment across departments and regions.
- Proficiency with digital tools and analytics to track and measure engagement and performance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to implement and track cost-saving initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in technical marketing, value engineering or a similar role within the software or IT industry.
- Strong technical understanding of software products, IT infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive growth and customer engagement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms to track and measure campaign performance.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving alignment across departments.
