- You will be the primary business advisor and partner for the worldwide Product organization regarding accounting, finance, and business-impacting decisions. This will involve the ability to assess needs and identify risks and opportunities, helping business partners understand the financial impact of their business decisions with accompanying analytics. This position provides dotted-line access to the Chief Product Officer of BMC, and each of his/her direct reports.
- Partner with CPO and corporate Finance on business strategy.
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis and data mining efforts and provide comprehensive financial analysis and models for requests depending on the assigned department (such as customer analyses, competitive analyses, investments, and new items).
- You get to lead multiple finance wide-project across several different financial disciplines including Corporate & BU FP&A, operations, marketing, and pricing.
- Drive the preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan (AOP) and strategic plan for regional customers.
- Lead the development of metrics, scorecards and reporting for assigned department and report and communicate progress monthly.
- You will support forecasting, budgeting, and quarterly reporting cycles with automated and standardized executive packages.
- You have the opportunity to recommend and implement process improvements using technical solutions. Communication of results and recommendations to management and the business, including executive finance team.
- Partner with CPO, Corporate Finance and Operations to develop scalable and more efficient financial processes that support a growing business.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Finance or Accounting concentration preferred, MBA a plus.
- 15+ years of experience within an enterprise SaaS/Software organization, preferably in Product/Operations finance.
- Ability to build partnerships with internal customers and peers and to manage those relationships.
- Experience in P&L management, along with knowledge of financial systems, general accounting concepts, and controls.
- Experience working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting/budgeting practice.
- Understanding of business intelligence and financial planning software.
- Understanding of core finance business processes to ensure timely delivery of financial results including Quarterly Business Reviews, close process, SOX controls, and Audit.
- Experience with Oracle, One-Stream, Tableau, or other software tools preferred.
