We're looking for a Staff Accountant professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, loves working with data, and is eager to grow.
Here is how, through this exciting role, you will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
- Use your strong communication skills to collaborate with senior leadership and contribute to strategic discussions.
- Prepare dashboards and reports that provide insights for decision-making while ensuring timely delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with your team to achieve shared goals and support ad hoc projects such as audit support and revenue adjustments.
- Leverage your accounting expertise to analyze financial data, deliver balance sheet reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and troubleshoot systems like Oracle ERP, Zuora Revpro, and OneStream.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting, auditing, analytics, and deliverables to meet HQ controllership requirements.
To ensure you’re set up for success in this role, it would be ideal that you have the following skillset & experience:
- 3–6 years of experience in the Finance function, preferably in IT/ITES, with a strong foundation in tools like MS Excel and familiarity with OpenAir, MicroStrategy, Tableau, or SQL databases.
- BSc in Accounting or related field, CPA preferred , with an MBA in Finance being a plus.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition methods (e.g., ASC 606, percentage completion, and Straight Line or As Billed methods), along with the ability to handle contra revenue adjustments, marketing/partner fees, and forecasting.
- A quick learner with strong critical thinking, multitasking abilities, and the ability to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with coworkers, stakeholders, and clients, with experience working with US clients being an added advantage.
- A passion for growing your expertise, with knowledge of OpenAir, MicroStrategy, or Tableau as a bonus.
