Join us as a Senior Tax Analyst!

Challenge yourself as a part of a dynamic, fast-paced tax team and join BMC Software! We are currently hiring a Sr. Tax Analyst for our Houston, Texas office! This exciting role is part of a very collaborative group, where people are willing to step out of their roles to help others. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get in with a stable and growing organization. Reporting to a Tax Manager, you will focus on income tax compliance, tax accounting, tax planning and research, as well as address any tax related issues with corporate accounting and other business groups within BMC.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success: 
  • Preparation of state income and franchise tax calculations, as well as preparation of state estimated income tax payments.
  • Preparation of monthly tax journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Preparation of calculations for the quarterly income tax provision. 
  • Assist with the preparation of the U.S. consolidated federal income tax returns.
  • Assist with the preparation of responses to various tax audits and notices.
  • Assist with other projects as necessary.

To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is highly preferred.
  • You have 2+ years of corporate federal and state income tax experience with either a Big 4 or national CPA firm.  Experience working for a large multinational company is highly preferred.
  • You are proficient with MS Office and OneSource Income Tax. Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, Oracle, and OneStream a plus.
  • You have a strong technical tax background including tax research and compliance knowledge.
  • You are a self-motivated individual who takes initiative and has a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,850 - $144,750
