Join us as the Head of Solution Marketing!

As we enter a new chapter, we are looking for a proven marketing leader to help define our voice, grow our pipeline, and drive competitive momentum. As the Senior Director of Solution Marketing, you will lead strategic go-to-market initiatives across our core solution areas — including IT Service Management, AIOps, observability, and automation. This role will shape Helix’s narrative in the market, bring together cross-functional teams to deliver impactful campaigns, and help accelerate enterprise sales. You will manage a team of solution marketers and work closely with Product, Sales, Demand Gen, and Analyst Relations.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success: 
  • Own solution-level messaging, positioning, and value propositions for BMC Helix’s key offerings.
  • Lead and coach a team of solution marketers aligned to major buyer priorities and GTM motions.
  • Partner with product management and sales leadership to shape strategic narratives for CIO, CFO, and CISO audiences.
  • Drive integrated go-to-market strategy for solution plays, including launch planning, competitive differentiation, and campaign alignment.
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation, Events, and Content teams to execute programs that deliver measurable pipeline impact.
  • Enable sales and partners with tools, plays, and training that improve win rates and deal velocity.
  • Support analyst relations and thought leadership by packaging customer value stories and product vision.
  • Analyze performance of solution messaging across channels and continuously optimize for impact.

To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
  • You hold an MBA or relevant technical background with 10+ years in enterprise software marketing with deep experience in solution or product marketing.
  • You have extensive domain knowledge in ITSM, ITOM, AIOps, observability, or enterprise automation.
  • Proven success creating messaging that resonates with enterprise buyers across IT and business functions.
  • You have experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence without direct authority.
  • You are a data-driven individual with strong instincts for market trends and buyer behavior.
  • You have exceptional writing and storytelling skills — comfortable turning complexity into clarity.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $192,750 - $321,250
