Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

1. Developing effective testing strategies and test plans for z/OS system products

2. Reviewing and analyzing enhancements to z/OS system products
3. Creating testing automation in a z/OS environment and reporting bugs and errors to responsible teams.
4. Identifying record, document, and track bugs for tracking quality assurance metrics
5. Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
6. Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality
7. Staying up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

Good experience in z/OS:

JCL
SMP/E
REXX

1. Working knowledge of JES2, batch job processing.

2. Experience in QA methodology i.e., functionality tests, negative tests, stress tests, etc.

3. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases

4. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools

5. Experience working in an Agile development process and ability to document and troubleshoot issues and bugs

Good to have:

1. Knowledge of industry-standard job scheduling/workload automation products (Control-M, IWS,CA7)

2. SMF/RMF record types of knowledge /SMF file handling

3. ISPW/TOPAZ knowledge

4. Basic knowledge of DB2/IMS/CICS

5. Good to have COBOL Programming Knowledge

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 1,180,000 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
