- This role is based in Austin, TX, with a hybrid work model (3 days per week in the office).
- We do not provide relocation support, so candidates should already be located in the area before we can extend an offer.

- Design, manage, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including: routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP), switching technologies (STP, VLANs, HSRP), F5 LTM and GTM load balancers, Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches, DNS & DHCP services, Aruba Wi-Fi infrastructure, etc.
- Ensure high availability and performance of network infrastructure
- Support and resolve complex network issues & tickets, ensuring timely resolution and excellent service experience.
- Facilitate process improvements using Change and Incident Management Tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to support network initiatives, while ensuring mutual knowledge sharing & clear documentation/audits.
- Assess and communicate risks based on complexity, resource availability, and timeline constraints.
- Manage hardware lifecycle: receiving shipments, inventory tracking, installations, upgrades, and break/fix tasks.
- Support data center operations including rack organization, cabling, hardware installs (with system engineers), and RMAs management.
- Handle capacity planning and power audits, ensuring appropriate supply of power to all equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Software-related field / equivalent IT experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a Network Engineer / Data Center Specialist role
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches, as well as routing fundamentals and DNS+DHCP administration
- Experience in managing Aruba Wi-Fi environments.
- Knowledge / experience in F5 LTM/GTM and SSL certificate management.
- Exposure to data center infrastructure, including power and cooling, rack and stack, and structured cabling
- Willingness to work rotational shifts and be on call outside business hours, including weekends
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and independent ownership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective global team interaction

- Background from enterprise product-based software companies
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware with OEMs like HP, Cisco, Dell EMC, IBM, Hitachi, etc.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools and handling user tickets (e.g. Helix ITSM, etc.)

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $78,750 - $131,250
