We’re looking for a Software Development Manager who is passionate about technology and leading high-performing engineering teams. This is a unique opportunity to drive the development of multiple security products as part of the BMC AMI Security portfolio.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and leading a global team of ~13 Software Developers & QA Engineers who are architecting, designing, and building complex hybrid security solutions, utilizing advanced methodologies for high-scale systems.

You will play a key role in shaping the product’s strategy, making critical technical decisions, and ensuring seamless execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Beyond technology, you will focus on mentoring, developing engineers, fostering a strong engineering culture, and guiding your team toward success.

Lead and manage a team of ~13 skilled engineers, driving innovation and excellence.
Hire, mentor, and develop talent, fostering a culture of growth and high performance.
Own the end-to-end development of cutting-edge products – from architecture and design to full-scale deployment.
Shape the strategy of a mission-critical mainframe security product used by enterprise customers, while making crucial technical decisions
Collaborate across teams - work closely with DevOps, IT, Support, and Product Management to ensure seamless execution.
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
4+ years of experience in directly managing Agile software development teams, including hiring, mentoring, and task management
7+ years of experience in enterprise software development (preferably C / Assembler).
Experience with Mainframe Security subsystems administration such as RACF
Experience with X.509 Certificates and SSH keys/certs
Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps technologies, with ability to manage and optimize complex CI/CD processes
Deep understanding of the importance of highly automated QA environments.
Hands-on project management skills and experience.
Adaptability and enthusiasm for adopting modern technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:
Experience with MF Security subsystems such as ACF2 and Top-Secret
Strong skills in DevOps, and automation
B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field
CISSP certification
