BMC Software, a global leader in enterprise technology solutions, is looking for a Legal Counsel to support our UK & Nordics region. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your legal career within an innovative, fast-paced international environment focused on digital transformation.
As part of the EMEA Legal team, you will support BMC’s sales organisation across the UK, Ireland, the Nordics, and additional regions as needed. You’ll collaborate daily with colleagues across EMEA and the US, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technology, international contracting, and diverse commercial matters.
What You’ll Do
• Negotiate and manage a variety of technology contracts (SaaS, software licensing, support, consulting services).
• Ensure contracts comply with local law, EU regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor new and upcoming regulatory developments relevant to technology and data.
• Provide practical legal advice on regional and country-specific matters.
• Support corporate compliance initiatives and provide employee training.
• Work with external counsel on region-specific engagements and assist on litigation as required.
• Partner with sales, finance, compliance, and global legal teams to drive best practices and manage risk.
• Support ad-hoc legal projects.
Desired Skills & Experience
• UK-qualified lawyer
• 1-3 years’ post qualification experience, ideally in-house or from a law firm
• Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken English (any other European language skills will be positively valued)
• A collaborative mindset and desire to work in a global, fast-moving environment
• Willingness to travel occasionally

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is £ 51,825 - £ 86,375
