Join us as a Privacy Intern in Paris, France! BMC Software is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Privacy Intern to join its Global Privacy Office. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in global data privacy and protection, supporting a wide range of projects under the guidance of BMC’s Lead Privacy Counsel based in Paris – La Défense.
Here is how, through this exciting role, you will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

The Privacy Intern will support the daily activities and strategic initiatives of the Privacy Office. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data protection and privacy within an international company. Under the supervision of experienced professionals, your contributions may include:

Supporting the review and update of BMC’s EU Binding Corporate Rules and other internal privacy policies
Assisting with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for data processing activities
Monitoring and managing data subject access requests
Researching and reporting on evolving privacy, data protection, and AI-related regulations and standards
Assisting with ongoing privacy-related projects and initiatives led by the Privacy Office

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

We’re looking for a candidate who brings both technical knowledge and a proactive, collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate will have:

A law degree with a focus on Data Protection or IT Law
Enrollment in the French Bar program (optional but preferred)
Strong interest in developing expertise in data privacy and protection
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (business-level fluency required)
Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
A high level of discretion and respect for confidentiality
Availability to work on-site in Paris – La Défense
