Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

  • Contribute to be a member of the Development team responsible for developing and debugging of software products.
  • Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of several factors.
  • Work across product lines with interaction of other BMC products 
  • Independently design and implement features that address customer needs with a sense of ownership within given timelines 
  • As every BMC employee, you will be given the opportunity to learn, be included in global projects, challenge yourself and be the innovator when the team needs you.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

  • You can embrace, live and breathe our BMC values every day!
  • You have 3+ years of experience in Assembler Code Development.
  • You have experience with TSO/ISPF, IMS, SMP/E, SDSF, JES2, ISPF, JCL, z/OS Utilities.
  • You have experience in designing and implementing mainframe applications in an IBM z/OS environment.
  • You have strong Diagnostics, Debugging and Troubleshooting skills to include diagnosing SVC dumps.
  • You have knowledge of additional programming language such as C.
  • You have experience with Agile development methodology.
  • You have experience with Jira for defect reporting and Agile Scrum Board work tracking/updating.


Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:  

  • You have working knowledge of REXX programming language on z/OS

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,790,000 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
