We are looking for a new Content Marketing leader to shape our innovative and exciting content programming that supports corporate narratives and business unit needs. Our Director of Content Marketing will report to the VP of Communications and Marketing and work with leadership across the company to ensure that the company’s content strategy aligns with and supports brand and business objectives.

Leading a world-class team of content marketers, our new Director will oversee day-to-day operations, develop the content plans to support the business, lead the company’s content strategy across channels and teams, and lead the development of content management practices for the company.

Overview of the Job:
•Oversee all marketing content initiatives, both internal and external, across multiple platforms and formats to drive sales, engagement, retention, leads and positive customer behavior
•Development of a content strategy and associated content calendar to align and support internal and external marketing and communication initiatives that reinforces BMC brand strength and innovation 
•Lead and align colleagues and peers across functions on content initiatives to support the business, employee engagement, and product marketing
•Development and management of marketing content programming and governance—including ownership and evangelism of company-wide CMS platform
•Ownership and accountability for ever-evolving content strategy that supports both short-and long-term business and brand needs
•Refine and evolve content marketing metrics to reflect a data-driven approach to content marketing reflective of industry data on content success and consumption
•Identification and management of custom content initiatives (e.g., annual research program)
•Leadership, mentoring, and development of an amazing team 

The Skill Set:
•Creative and skilled storyteller 
•Strong data and analytics capabilities – process oriented and able to turn data into a story
•Creativity and storytelling expertise; experience in development and management of compelling messaging for different demographics and audiences
•Previous experience in multimedia content development and success management—from short form to long form, across all channels
•Project and program management skills to define needs, evaluate KPIs, and ensure successful execution
•Previous experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions and the design, implementation, ownership, and daily operations of a large (20K+ asset) Content Management System (CMS)
•Financial acumen to manage a large content marketing budget that services brand, business, product, and innovation content marketing needs across multiple stakeholder groups
•Team leadership and management with 15+ years of relevant experience mentoring and developing talented professionals
